decongestant. Breathe in the healing aroma while you relax with this goat milk

New Product line of Soaps 3
Pumpkin with
ground Cinnamon
Pumpkin is high in antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and
zinc, which makes it healthy for your skin. It is a great moisturizer and
rejuvenator which is particularly helpful if you have dry skin, or if this cold
dry climate makes your skin chapped and rough.
As the pumpkin
sloughs off the dry dead skin cells the cinnamon’s anti inflammatory, anti
bacterial and antifungal properties will help bring back the glow of healthy
skin.
Oatmeal, when used as a skin cleanser, actually absorbs
and removes surface dirt and impurities while providing very gentle
exfoliation, leaving
skin smooth, soft, and clean. In addition,
cleansing and exfoliating with this gentle oatmeal and honey soap provides the
bonus of a natural, healthy glow.

New Product line of Soaps 2
The second special ingredient soap is:
Rosemary with
Flax Seed
Rosemary is a stimulating herb
and makes a wonderful herbal bath when you feel worn out and want to get your
blood flowing under your skin again. It has antioxidant properties and is a
rich source of vitamin A and vitamin C, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, and zinc. Rosemary
can also relieve arthritis and soothe aching muscles.
Research has shown that the
anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties are excellent acne treatment.
Combined with the rich Omega-3
oils in flax seeds, this soap will also help relieve dry, sandpaper skin.

Soap
Making soap today. I have some new molds with wonderful Celtic designs and an Asian longevity knot.
I'm fine-tuning my soap varieties and will be discontinuing some of the less popular ones. Any of these bars that I have left will be offered at discount prices soon.

Looking forward to a new year
As the new year starts I'm evaluating my projects and plans for the farm.I have several ideas for this spring.
1. Hatching baby chicks - this year instead of buying day old chicks, I'm going to see if I can get the hens to hatch their own. I kept the Speckled Sussex rooster (his name is Eldridge). I will isolate him with some of my 9 Speckled Sussex hens. I really like this breed, they talk a lot.
2. I was reading the blog of the Chicken Chick, about Olive colored eggs . She says breeding a dark brown egg layer with an Ameraucana (or Easter Egger) will produce layers with this color egg. I just happen to still have the young Ameraucana rooster from this years chicks. So will breed him with the Welsummer hens (unless we eat him first - he is a mean rooster).
3. Baby goats will be arriving starting April 4. I'm very excited about these first ones as they will be Socrates first kids. He bred several of the yearling does that are half Alpine. Hoping these girls will be good milkers. The daughters of these pairings should be excellent milkers as Socrates comes from grand champion milker lineage. The sire of the does was Hans, who's mother was a heavy milker as well.
4. Making soap tomorrow. These are the Valentine soaps and a new product line of special ingredient soaps (more about these later).
